RESONANCE | 15.5" x 20.5" | SHEMA YISRAEL שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל

Shema Yisrael (שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל) - means "Hear, O Israel!" It's a calling out to the People of Israel by the People themselves. It is the key statement of faith of monotheism and it is said several times during a prayer service. It comes from the full prayer in Deuteronomy. But, here is it the People or God calling? 

שְמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָֽד׃
